Dr. Aaron S. Cantor grew up in Coatesville, PA and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a double major in microbiology and history & philosophy of science. He was a dermatology patient for many years and understands the patient experience. Before medical school, he was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar for one year in Brisbane, Australia, where he researched the mechanism of a novel cancer drug and traveled around the country.
In 2012, he commissioned as an ensign in the Navy Health Professional School Program and earned his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine. He then completed internship at Naval Hospital Jacksonville in family medicine and went on to be the general medical officer for Combat Logistics Battalion 2 at Camp Lejeune. He deployed in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Africa.
Dr. Cantor completed residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in dermatology and is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and its Melanoma & Skin Cancer Community Programs Committee as well as the Association of Military Dermatologists. He is a practicing dermatologist at both Naval Medical Center Portsmouth as well as Associates in Dermatology and looks forward to caring for you.
In his spare time, he enjoys doing outdoor activities with his wife and two children and becoming a better woodworker.
