Investing in our community is important for Associates in Dermatology. Celebrating the arts in Newport News this spring, we supported the Virginia Symphony with their special performance of renown organist, Cameron Carpenter as he played Saint-Saens. We supported the performances throughout Hampton Roads, but we were honored to attend the Monday, March 16, 2016 performance at the Ferguson Center for the Arts in Newport News, Virginia.
Per the Ferguson Center for the Arts website:
Subversive organ virtuoso Cameron Carpenter electrifies the stage when he brings his International Touring Organ to the VSO! Known as the “Bad Boy of the Organ,” Carpenter demonstrates his musical intelligence, showmanship and style while performing Saint-Saëns’ thrilling masterpiece, Symphony No. 3. Saint-Saëns said of his ‘Organ Symphony:’ “I gave everything to it I was able to give. What I have here accomplished, I will never achieve again.”
We had a wonderful time at the performance and look forward to more at the Virginia Symphony in Newport News. Hope you can join us next time.
